Vankleek Hill and District Nature Society

The society was formed in 1977 by a group of individuals who had a passion about bird watching and issues surrounding nature and the environment. At that time the overall objective was educating the youth of tomorrow about the environment and nature through various activities such as bird watching, guest speaker presentations and activities that protect the environment.

The motto of the Society is "CONSERVATION THROUGH EDUCATION".

The Society is a member of Ontario Nature and participates in Christmas Bird Counts a joint Birds Canada - National  Audubon Society project.
