Study Circle and Christmas Bird Counts' Circles


​The Vankleek Hill and District Nature Society Study Circle

The five counties (the United counties of Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry, and Prescott-Russell) make up the major portion of the circle. When looking at the map you will notice that parts of Western Quebec and Northern New-York are also part of the circle. This 5 counties circle is the official study area of the Vankleek Hill and District Nature Society (established in 1977).

​Audubon Christmas Bird Counts' Circles

​Members of our society participate in several Christmas Bird Counts (CBC).  The Easternmost Ontario CBCs are local and include the Vankleek Hill (ONVK), Alfred-Montebello (ONAM) and Foret Larose (ONFL).  Maps of the circles may be viewed at the following link
