Bird Gallery and Information about Birds
The objective of the main gallery, Birds of Far Eastern Ontario, is to help people discover and appreciate the birds of this area; it was set up as an annotated and illustrated list of the over 300 species of birds found in Far Eastern Ontario.
Hopefully the photographs will help local residents become aware of the rich diversity of birds that are found around here, encourage visitors to come and observe and/or photograph them, and help us protect them.
The gallery can be viewed at the following link

All birds in this gallery can be found in an area between Ottawa and Montreal, more specifically within a circle having a 50-km radius from St-Isidore. This site will particularly interest local residents, and birders visiting Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec.
The aim is to:
- show you photos of most of these birds;
- tell you where some of them can be found; and
- tell you how easy (or difficult) each of them can be observed within the 5 counties birding circle.
Please email Jacques Bouvier miroisont@gmail.com immediately if you discover a very or extremely rare species OR a new one for our birding circle.
To quickly locate the photograph(s) of a specific species click SEARCH at top of page and insert its English, scientific or French name in the PHOTOS search window.
